GIPSA Compliance Division announces non-use of
service exception program.

On August 13, 2003, Virginia Roseberry, of the Compliance Division announced the application of the non-use of service exception program. It will apply to customers that have requested Grand Forks Grain Inspection Department, Inc. as their service provider or are located in Grand Forks' designated area and were authorized to choose another service provider in addition to Grand Forks.

Grand Forks' designation to provide official inspection services terminates September 30, 2003, so those agencies are permitted to choose a service provider in addition to their geographic incumbent.

Customers for which this exception are applicable are to advise GIPSA by September 15, 2003, of their choice for a new official service provider, in addition to their geographic provider. Those customers will have the option of obtaining service from either provider.
