FGIS chooses NDGI at Taylor, ND |

The Federal Grain Inspection Service, an agency of the United States Department of Agriculture, recently appointed North Dakota Grain Inspection Service, Inc. of Fargo as the authorized service provider at Taylor, North Dakota. NDGI will maintain an onsite laboratory providing official sampling and grading under the provisions of the United States Grain Standards Act. The inspection facility will be located at the Southwest Grain Terminal, a division of Harvest States, at Taylor, N.D. The grain terminal is located approximately 12 miles east of Dickinson, ND and provides an excellent opportunity for NDGI to serve the agricultural community in western North Dakota and eastern Montana. Dan Olson has been named the service point manager and will oversee the inspection of all outbound grain shipments at the site. Olson has over 30 years of experience in the grain inspection industry. He will maintain regular inspection hours at the site from 6:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., Monday through Friday and will provide after hours sampling and inspections to serve the customer during peak grain handling periods. Olson will join the NDGI workforce and take over operations at the lab on October 1, 2003. Dan and his wife, Esther currently reside in Dickinson, N.D. |
