2016 Fall Board Meeting
AAGIWA will be holding its fall board meeting in conjunction with the FGIS Grain Inspection Advisory Committee Meeting in Portland, Oregon, October 18-20. All AAGIWA members are invited to attend. The preliminary schedule and other information are included below.

2017 Annual Meeting: May 7-10
Sheraton Kona at Keauhou Bay
The AAGIWA 2017 Annual Meeting will be held on the Big Island of Hawaii. The Big Island is the heart of Hawaii’s breadbasket. They grow and process the bulk of the state’s agricultural products. The Annual Meeting will focus on and address important industry issues in grain inspection and will feature key industry professionals on the speaker program. The meeting will also explore the agriculture industry in Hawaii with group trips to the Greenwell Coffee Farm, to learn about the inspection and weighing process of Kona Coffee beans, and NELHA, the Natural Energy Laboratory of Hawaii Authority, home to the Hawaii Ocean Science Technology Park.

The AAGIWA meeting will be held at the same location as the 2015 meeting of the National Association of State Departments of Agriculture (NASDA) and the program draws upon many of the topics covered at the NASDA meeting. AAGIWA appreciates the help of the NASDA staff in sharing input on meeting plans and topics.
